Fun, easy-to-learn board-style game that I play to clear my head between meetings at work. It's good for a quick diversion and I really like the multi-player aspect when you want more challenge after you master the AI.. Classical, tactical gameplay, as advertised. The campaign is fun, I didn't use the tutorial but managed to learn the game after playing a couple maps. More fun that way. Online play should be even more fun. Solid game. I imagine could be an excellent game with added depth \/dlc's. The terrain dynamics affording different bonuses is great but my only criticism is the maps are unappealingly simplistic overall. Some strategic depth is missing for me though tactics are good. An easy recommendation for tactical board-gamers.. If you're looking for a fun little game, this isn't bad. If you're looking for a strategy game, it still needs quite a bit of improvement. Every multiplayer map suffers from severe First Move Advantage, and One on One is the way I wanted to play a strategy game like this (since I found it reminiscent of chess), but this game is currently not designed for that.Single Player is just an excercise in manipulating the enemy AI to fight each other and not you. Not too much different than most other single player strategy game ecperiences, but it includes "False Path" maps that are really frustrating and can add hours onto your play time by forcing you to replay levels you already beat.Levels are small and there's no expandability or map maker.For $10 I can't really recommend it at this point in time. Wait for it to go on sale and it's a cool little diversion, or wait for the next version and we'll see if it fixes some of these problems.. I liked it until I realized that the enemy can attack a druid with an Eagle, I can't. The enemy can destroy ground under me, but in the same setup I cannot from theirs. At the point when the enemy turtle was floating in the air (I kid you not) at the end of their turn, I called quits. If the unfairness was for a plot reason, some explanation sure would have helped.. Snowball the game, don't bother picking this up unless you're into doorbangs and one-sided victories. Spam Bears and Birds, and you win, simple as that, and once you start winning, you literally can not loses unless you try.. This game is pretty cool! It feels a lot like the Advance Wars games for GBA but with faster-paced combat and a compelling mana economy. Has a good campaign mode so it might be worth checking out even if you're not into multiplayer. I recommend it if you're looking for a game to make you think!.
